About Haven Slay

Haven Slay grew up surrounded by music in Longmont, Colorado, picking up guitar and fiddle before most kids learn to drive. Drawn to the storytelling traditions of country and the raw energy of bluegrass, she found her voice early and never looked back.

As one half of Five Foot Betty, Haven earned a string of accomplishments that most artists twice her age would envy. The duo won the Denver Bluegrass Conference band competition, performed at the prestigious RockyGrass Band Competition, and built a loyal following across Colorado's Front Range music scene.

A recipient of the Rock for the People recording scholarship, Haven traveled to Nashville to record with some of the industry's finest producers and session musicians. The experience sharpened her songwriting, deepened her vocal technique, and confirmed what she already knew: music is what she's meant to do.

Now stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Haven is building something uniquely her own. Her sound weaves country storytelling with bluegrass roots and folk intimacy -- three instruments, one voice, and songs that feel like coming home. Her debut EP “Land of the Free” is on the horizon.

When she's not on stage, Haven shares her passion through vocal coaching, helping singers of all levels find their authentic sound. Based on the Front Range, she performs regularly at beloved Colorado venues and is available for bookings, festivals, and private events.
